Microsoft’s new Android app to click flawless selfies

A dedicated Android app by Microsoft, to click selfies will now make you look better without any extra effort. The Microsoft Selfie app is designed to consider lighting, gender, age and skin tone to determine the extent of enhancement needed to make the picture look better naturally with just one click. However, this app by the tech giant is not a new thing, as it had been unveiled on Apple devices quite some time back. Microsoft Selfie app is now available for Android phones in the Google Play Store.

With the rise of the selfie craze and going strong, this move by Microsoft might work out good for the company as well as for the consumer. The app essentially uses machine learning to learn from its surroundings and adjust its settings accordingly while clicking the photograph making is better. The app can brighten or darken a scene accordingly and also reduce noise in a picture. Still, if you are not happy with the one click result, you can always manually change the filters by sliding them across the screen and make the change you want to see. Apart from the selfies clicked in real time, the app also works for pictures stored on the Android smartphone.

The app was launched in Apple iOS version in December last year and received good reviews from users. It remains to be seen how the app functions on the Android platform.
