Maruti Suzuki launches limited edition of Swift Deca; shares rise over 3 per cent

Maruti Suzuki shares surged over 3 per cent on Tuesday after the company launched limited edition model of its popular hatchback – sporty Swift Deca. The petrol variant of the car – Swift Deca Edition VXi- is priced at Rs 5.9 lakh, while the diesel variant – Swift Deca Edition VDi – is price at Rs 6.8 lakh.
At 3.06 pm, Maruti Suzuki shares were trading 2.88 per cent up at Rs 5071.20. The scrip opened at Rs 4950 and touched a high and low of Rs 5104.90 and Rs 4950, respectively. Sensex was trading 415.73 points up at 28,318.39.
The limited edition of Swift Deca model is available in two variants – Vxi and Vdi and in two colors – Bright Red and Pearl White.

The company in a press release said that the car is a tribute to one of sport’s ultimate symbols of glory – the number ‘10’. This holds especially true for football, where the best players in the game’s history have proudly carried the legendary ‘10’ on their backs.
The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs 5 has touched a 52-week-high of Rs 5104.90 on Aug 2, 2016 and 52-week-low of Rs. 3202.10 on Feb 29, 2016.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.21 per cent, while institutions and non-institutions held 37.18 per cent and 6.62 per cent respectively.
The limited edition model is available in two variants – Vxi and Vdi and in two colors – Bright Red and Pearl White.
Maruti Swift Deca edition is available at a special price, bringing a benefit of over Rs. 18,000/- on the accessory kit, to the customer.

Former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia approached the high court on Thursday seeking bail in the corruption and money-laundering cases lodged by the CBI and the ED respectively in relation to the alleged excise policy scam.
The bail pleas are scheduled for hearing before Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma on Friday.
Sisodia approached the high court after a trial court refused to grant him bail in the matter on April 30.

Six Adani Group firms have come under the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) lens and have received show-cause notices for alleged breaches in related party transactions and non-compliance with listing regulations, said the companies in their regulatory filings to the stock exchanges.
Among these, Adani Enterprises, the flagship of Gautam Adani's business empire, disclosed the receipt of two show-cause notices during the quarter ending on March 31.

Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) and investment management company KKR have made investments in Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL) warehousing assets, in a transaction valued at Rs 12,864 crore ($1.5 billion), according to a report in The Economic Times (ET).
This investment is separate from the infrastructure investment trust (InvIT) established by RRVL last year, which was intended to accommodate approximately half of its retail warehousing assets.

The Reserve Bank of India's decision to lift curbs on Bajaj Finance's two products, earlier than expected, sent the stock on a tear. Bajaj Finance stock soared 7.5 per cent to Rs 7,400 in Friday's intraday trade as against 0.6 per cent rise in the benchmark S&P BSE Sensex. This was the stock's biggest single-day rally in three years.
Bajaj Finance stock had hit a record high of Rs 8,190 on October 6, 2023.
