Markets remain choppy; CIL up 2%, Tata Motors, RIL dip

Markets have recovered from the lower levels and are trading marginally positive led by pharma shares. However, the upside is capped due to selling among index heavyweights like Tata Motors, RIL and HDFC.
At 10:40AM, the 30-share Sensex was up 11 points at 27,972 and the 50-share Nifty was up 2 points at 8,462.
The broader markets are however, outperforming the benchmark indices- BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices are up almost 1% each.
The top gainers on the Sensex are Coal India, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Hero Moto, BHEL and Cipla.
On the losing side, Tata Motors, HDFC, Reliance Inds, Hindalco and SBI are down 1-2%.

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday dismissed with Rs 1 lakh costs a public interest litigation by a lawyer seeking appropriate arrangements for Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to run the government from jail.
The petitioner also sought to restrain Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva from exerting any "undue pressure" for resignation of Kejriwal.

The business has bagged orders to set up two floating solar plants in India.

Google has introduced a private digital wallet for Android users in India, allowing users to securely store cards, tickets, passes, keys and IDs, an official said on Wednesday.
Google Wallet can be downloaded from Play Store and would allow users to store their debit cards, credit cards, loyalty cards, and gift cards among other things.

After the third phase of general elections in the country, the third fuse of Congress and its INDI Alliance parties was blown off, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday.
Addressing a rally at Vemulawada, about 150 km from here, Modi said four phases of polling are left and with the blessings of people, the BJP and NDA marching towards victory.
