Infosys to unveil growth plan by mid-October: Vishal Sikka

BANGALORE: Infosys' newly appointed boss Vishal Sikka said the company will unveil its strategy by mid-October, even as he stressed on the importance of automation and the need to embrace design-thinking to drive growth.

Sikka mentioned the offsite the company's senior executives had at Stanford's Design School earlier in August, and said the management has had more than 20 meetings with clients and partners.

It has also been engaging with executives from startups from the Silicon Valley, he said. "An intense and rewarding journey," Sikka wrote on Monday in his blog 'Timelessness - Musings on constants and other invariants', adding that he has been reading the "2700+ concrete ideas that were submitted by Infoscions as part of the Murmuration (the crowdsourcing initiative that he has launched)".

But, for now, he wrote, the work ahead will be driven by "our grounding in education" while continually "improving and optimising our existing business areas with better processes" as well as "in embracing and practicing designthinking and innovation".
