India's tally of COVID-19 cases rose to1,09,16,589with11,649new infections being reported in a day, while the daily deaths were recorded below100 for the ninth time this month,according to the Union Health Ministry data updated onMonday.

Thedeath toll increased to1,55,732with 90 daily new fatalities, the data updated at 8 am showed.

The Ministry of Labour and Employment is likely to complete the process to finalise the rules for four new labour codes or laws soon and they are likely to be implemented from the coming fiscal year. The government on Sunday said it has made FASTags mandatory from February 15 midnight and any vehicle not fitted with it will be charged double the toll at electronic toll plazas across the country.

The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) domestic cylinder, commonly referred to as cooking gas, has been increased by Rs 50 per unit in Delhi, reported news agency ANI.

The new price of Rs 769 per 14.2 kilograms LPG cylinder would come into effect from the midnight of February 15, it said.
