Realty firm Macrotech Developers on Thursday reported an 88 per cent rise in its sales bookings at Rs 957 crore for the quarter ended June on strong demand despite the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.

Twitter Inc's India unit has appointed an interim chief compliance officer and said it will soon designate two other executives to comply with the country's new IT rules, the social media giant said in a court filing on Thursday.

More than 1.67 crore balance and unutilised COVID-19 vaccine doses are still available with the states, UTs and private hospitals to be administered, the Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday.

India reported 43,733 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, informed the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday.

With this, India's active caseload of COVID cases has declined to 4,59,920, which is the lowest in 102 days. The active cases constitute 1.5 per cent of the total cases.
