Reliance Retail Ventures (RRVL), the country’s largest retailer with over 12,800 active stores, is all set to enter the fast-growing convenience store segment after it struck a crucial franchisee deal with American major 7-Eleven, Inc (SEI).

Days after 7-Eleven’s franchise deal with Future Retail (FRL) fell through, RRVL grabbed the master franchisee for the Dallas-based convenience brand for the India market, paving the way for its foray into the space.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Indian Space Association, a grouping of space and satellite companies, at a virtual event on October 11, the industry body said on Thursday.

The brokerage firm Morgan Stanley has upgraded Tata Motors with an overweight rating from equal-weight and raised target price to Rs 448 from Rs 298 earlier.

The Indian rupee appreciated 22 paise to 74.76 against the US dollar in opening trade on Thursday, tracking a positive trend in domestic equities.
