Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday attacked the BJP on the issue of price rise, alleging that the saffron party has become a "company", which is passing on "increased cost" to people without reducing profit.

He also tagged a news report "Cost of living rises in India as companies pass on higher prices" with his tweet.

Shares of Tata Motors gained 3 per cent to Rs 460 on the BSE in Tuesday's intra-day trade, in an otherwise subdued market, gaining 6 per cent in three trading days after the company reported a healthy volumes in the month of March.

British telecom major Vodafone has raised its stake in debt-ridden Vodafone Idea Limited to 47.61 per cent through its subsidiary Prime Metals, a regulatory filing said on Monday.

The company earlier held 44.39 per cent stake in Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL).

Petrol and diesel prices were on Tuesday hiked by 80 paise a litre each, taking the total increase in rates in the last two weeks to Rs 9.20 per litre.

Petrol in Delhi will now cost Rs 104.61 per litre as against Rs 103.81 previously, while diesel rates have gone up from Rs 95.07 per litre to Rs 95.87, according to a price notification of state fuel retailers.

An IndiGo Nagpur-Lucknow flight returned to the origin after take-off following a suspected momentary technical snag, said the airline on Monday.

The airline further informed that all the passengers were safe after the return of the flight to Nagpur airport.

"IndiGo's Nagpur-Lucknow flight, returned to origin after take-off, following a suspected momentary technical snag, today. The pilots followed the standard operating procedures and returned safely to Nagpur airport. All passengers are safe," said the airline.

PSU major Indian Oil Corporation on Sunday said it will invest nearly Rs 840 crore in expanding its Petroleum, Oil and Lubricant (POL) storage capacities, including setting up a greenfield facility, in the Northeast.

The company is planning to take its POL capacities to 5,530 Thousand Metric Tonnes Per Annum (TMTPA) by 2030 from the existing 3,160 TMTPA, Indian Oil Corporation Executive Director (IndianOil-AOD) G Ramesh told PTI.
