Bank of Baroda to sell NPAs worth Rs 6,000 cr, including RCom debt

State-owned Bank of Baroda (BoB) has floated an expression (EoI) of interest to sell its non performing assets worth over Rs 5,928 crore, including its Rs 1,838 crore loan to cash-strapped Reliance Communications.

The bank has identified loans to 49 companies, including two power firms run by GVK (totalling Rs 357 crore), GMR Chhattisgarh Energy Ltd (Rs 218 crore), and Monnet Power Company (Rs 199 crore), for sale.

An Air India employee, who was hit by an IndiGo bus carrying passengers to an aircraft at Bengaluru airport on Saturday evening, is “stable and improving” at a hospital, said the spokesperson of the national carrier Monday.

In response to a specific query from PTI about the employee’s health, Air India’s spokesperson said, “Employee is stable and improving in hospital.”

The firms will need to transition the commodity trading business to other unrelated entities within 45 days.

In what appears to be Amazon's effort in increasing gender diversity among directors, the technology giant on Monday appointed former PepsiCo chief executive officer (CEO) Indra Nooyi to its board. According to the company's regulatory filing, Nooyi will also join the audit committee of the board, reported Reuters.

"On February 25, 2019, the Board of Directors of Amazon.com, Inc. (the “Company”) elected Indra K Nooyi as a director of the company, and also appointed her to the audit committee of the board," Amazon wrote in an 8-K SEC regulatory filing.
