As the coronavirus scare continues to trouble India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday announced that he will not be participating in any 'Holi Milan' programmes this year in view of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Taking to microblogging website Twitter, Modi cited experts' advice to reduce mass gatherings to avoid the spread of the virus.

A day after an Italian tourist in Rajasthan's Jaipur tested positive for coronavirus, 15 more people from the group that he was a part of have been confirmed to have been infected with the virus.
