Japan has asked India to reconsider the visas that have been suspended over coronavirus fears. A travel advisory issued by India earlier announced that all visas, including visas on arrival granted to nationals of Italy, Iran, South Korea, Japan before 3rd march 2020, stand suspended in the backdrop of the coronavirus outbreak.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has barred two Malayalam TV channels for their 'coverage of the Delhi riots' that has claimed 53 lives. Asianet News and MediaOne were taken off air at 7.30 pm on Friday and will remain so till 7.30 pm on March 8, reports said.

The action against the two channels has been taken under the Cable Television Networks Rules, 1994.

Total passenger vehicle production stood at 1,40,370 units last month as against 1,47,550 units in February 2019, a decline of 4.87 per cent, it added.
