India to complete construction of highest railway bridge in Jammu and Kashmir by August 2022

Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district will soon come up with the world's highest railway bridge which will be 35 metres taller than Eiffel Tower. The bridge, which is being built over the Chenab river is likely to be completed by August 2022.

The bridge will connect Kashmir valley with Katra in Jammu and the rest of the country. It will also reduce the journey time by 5-6 hours from Katra to Srinagar.

The Income Tax department on Friday said it has issued refunds worth Rs 88,652 crore to over 24 lakh taxpayers so far this fiscal.

This include personal income tax (PIT) refunds amounting to Rs 28,180 crore issued to over 23.05 lakh taxpayers and corporate tax refunds amounting to Rs 60,472 crore to over 1.58 lakh taxpayers during this period.

After Supreme Court had asked transfer of Sushant Singh Rajput's death case to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Special Investigation Team of the central agency arrived in Mumbai on Thursday (August 20, 2020) evening (at 7.30 pm). They are currently staying at the DRDO guest house in Santacruz. The team has finalized the strategy for the investigation.

CBI Superintendent of Police Nupur Prasad, who is leading the team, has formed three teams to take the investigation forward, said sources.
