Woods Equipment Company manufactures a broad line of mowers, as well as backhoes, posthole diggers, snow blowers, tillers, and other agricultural, light construction, and landscape implements. While most of its products are designed to be tractor attachments, Woods Equipment also makes self-propelled mowers and loaders. Brand names include Alitec, Gannon, Gill, Tisco, and Wain-Roy. Genstar Capital, a San Francisco-based private equity firm, acquired Woods Equipment in 2004.
