Ceske Aerolinie (known as Czech Airlines or CSA) is the national carrier of the Czech Republic. Since joining the European Union in 2004, the airline has greatly expanded. It flies to about 70 cities in 40 countries in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, North America, and Asia. It operates a fleet of about 50 Airbus and Boeing jets and is a member of the SkyTeam alliance which also includes Air France-KLM, Aeroflot, and, Delta Air Lines. Now the company's fleet of more than 65 aircraft, which includes Boeing and Airbus jets, flies passengers and freight to about 65 cities in Asia, Europe, and North America from its hub in Taipei, Taiwan. Some destinations are served via code-sharing agreements with partners such as Delta Air Lines. (Code-sharing allows carriers to sell tickets on one another's flights and thus extend their networks.) China Airlines was founded by retired military pilots in 1959 with a fleet of two seaplanes.

As of December 31, 2008, China Southern Airlines operated a fleet of 348 aircrafts, consisting primarily of Boeing, Airbus, and McDonnell Douglas series; and had a network reaching 905 destinations connecting 169 countries and regions, and cities worldwide. The company was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Guangzhou, the People’s Republic of China. China Southern Airlines Company Limited operates as a subsidiary of China Southern Air Holding Company.

City Airline hops from its hub in Gothenburg, Sweden -- at a central point between Copenhagen's Kastrup Airport and Stockholm's Arlanda Airport -- to about a dozen other European destinations. The regional airline operates a fleet of five Embraer 135 and 145 regional jets, primarily flying business passengers nonstop to secondary airports located between larger hubs. City Airline offers flights to several cities in Sweden, as well as to the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Switzerland, and the UK. It extends its network with a code-sharing agreement with SAS. City Airline is owned by Investment AB Janus, which is also the parent of tour operators, hotels, and an education company.
