Ensign United States Drilling Inc. claims to be the second-largest and most active land-based drilling contractor in the Rockies. Ensign United States has 56 drilling rigs in operation in Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma, North Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming. In California the drilling contractor operates more than 20 drilling rigs, primarily in the San Joaquin, Los Angeles, and Sacramento basins.

Enterra Energy Trust, an open-end unincorporated investment trust, through its subsidiaries, engages in the exploration for and production of oil and gas in Canada and the United States. Enterra Energy Trust holds interests in various properties, including Clair, Provost-Alliance-Wainwright, Princess, and Ricinus in Alberta; Desan in British Columbia; and Liebenthal in Saskatchewan. Enterra Energy Trust also owns interests in properties located in Grant, Lincoln, and Logan counties in Oklahoma. As of December 31, 2008, Enterra Energy Trust had proved and probable reserves of 26,699 mboe.
