Larsen and Toubro hits 52-week low

Shares of Larsen and Toubro (L&T) have slipped almost 2% to Rs 1,298, also its 52-week on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in intra-day deals today.
Meanwhile, the company has secured orders worth Rs 1,960 crore across business segments.
Analysts at Prabhudas Lilladher in a report dated November 18 said that most of the companies from capital goods sector acknowledged that pace of recovery is slow and on ground challenges to execution remain. Weak oil prices and commodity prices led to most companies’ uncertain outlook on export market.
The stock opened at 1,320 and touched an intra-day low of Rs 1,298, also its 52-week low. A combined 2,082,517 shares have changed hands on the counter on the BSE and NSE so far.

Concerned over slow progress, the lenders of debt-ridden Reliance Capital (RCAP) have asked the Hinduja Group arm, IndusInd International Holdings Ltd, to expedite the process of obtaining necessary regulatory approvals and stick to the resolution plan deadline of May 27.
In a meeting held in Mumbai on Friday with the senior officials of IndusInd International Holdings' (IIHL), the lenders of RCAP said the company has to make a payment of Rs 9,650 crore to them by the said date, a source said.

The BJP will benefit from the anti-incumbency against the Biju Janata Dal government, which is in power for an unbroken 24 years in Odisha, and a strong Modi wave to dethrone Naveen Patnaik from the helm of the state, senior saffron party leader Vijaypal Singh Tomar claimed.
In an interview with PTI, Tomar said, "There is anti-incumbency and people in Odisha have decided to change the BJD government this time. Similarly, there is a strong Modi wave across India, which has also been strongly felt in this state."
