Falta Special Economic Zone (FSEZ - the Zone) is one of the eight Special Economic Zones of the Govt. of India in the Ministry of Commerce & Industry under the SEZ scheme. NSEZ has 370 developed plots of varying sizes, besides nine standard design factory complexes that can accommodate one hundred forty four units. About one hundred fifteen units are occupied while 125 developed plots of small sizes (below 1000 sq. mtrs.) are available for allotment. Future expansion has been strategically planned and when implemented fully, the zone would be able to provide 224 SDF units.
A new Special Economic Zone (SEZ) scheme has been introduced in the Export & Import Policy from 1.4.2000, with a view to provide an internationally competitive and hassle-fee environment for export production.
