Garden and Forest
Garden and Forest: A Journal of Horticulture, Landscape Art, and Forestry was the first American journal devoted to horticulture, botany, landscape design and preservation, national and urban park development, scientific forestry, and the conservation of forest resources. The journal was established by Charles Sprague Sargent (1841-1927), the founding director of the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University. Though the journal was published independently, Sargent considered the weekly magazine the organ of the Arboretum.

Thus was born Nagarjuna Group in 1973 with an investment of US$ 23 million. The Group has since then come a long way to become a diversified conglomerate with an asset base of US$ 2.5 billion.

Centre for Electronics Design and Technology
The Centre for Electronics Design and Technology was established in 1974 at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, with the joint support of the then Department of Electronics (DoE), Ministry of Education, University Grants Commission and Swiss Agency for Development and Co-operation under the Technical and Scientific Co-operation Agreement, New Delhi of 1966 between Governments of India and Switzerland.
