The Sri Ganapathy Mills Company Limited (SGML) was originally incorporated in the year 1946 with the primary objective of Spinning COTTON YARN. The main promoters were Sri.S.S.Arunchalam Pillai, Sri. S.S. Alwarappa pillai and Sri.C.Somasundaram pillai. SGML was taken over by the present Directors of Sri. K.Vee.Rajenthiran & family in the year 1976. In 1976, the Company had an accumulated loss of Rs. 32.48 lacs. The Plant and Machineries have been periodically replaced and modernized. Due to this the Company was turned around by prudent management and earned a net profit of Rs. 5.32 lacs in the year 1977. The said accumulated loss was wiped out in the year 1979. The Spindle capacity was also increased from 12000 nos to 45000 nos. |
