Indiabulls Financial Services was one of the first brokerages in the country to offer an Internet-based trading platform. The funding, besides from the core group of promoters, was from five venture and private equity funds. It is the first company in the country, which, after raising funds from venture capitalists during the tech boom of 2000, is going public within a short span of four years. The parent company, Indiabulls Financial Services (IFSL) is a registered NBFC and it is this entity that is going public. It has three 100% owned subsidiaries namely Indiabulls Securities that carries out equity, derivatives and debt broking business, provides depository, equity research services, and mutual funds and IPO distribution; Indiabulls Insurance Advisors Private Ltd distributes insurance products while Indiabulls Commodities Private Ltd provides commodities trading services.
