Aarbur was established in 1987 as a 100% export - oriented unit specializing in the manufacture of jute bags. With over 40 years in the business, today it has established itself as the premier manufacturer and exporter of jute bags from India. Last year, the firm exported 1.2 million shopping bags to the United States, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Sweden, Denmark, among other countries. With increased production capacities, the firm has set itself an export target of 2.00 million bags this year.

The firm has a simple philosophy which guides its activities: respect for nature and mankind. This finds expression in everything the firm does: from the purchase of raw materials to the packing of the finished products. Each stage is carefully monitored to ensure that they remain 'eco-friendly'. The firm also provides twin sources of income to over 500 local families by allowing women to take basic jobs home on a contractual basis.

Innumerable permutations and combinations to suit even the most exacting buyers. Jute, being a natural product, its products are becoming increasingly popular around the world. Customized jute bags are considered as "walking billboards" by many organizations--companies and stores, besides being excellent promotional and gift items. Each bag can be custom designed by you in any size or shape with pockets, zippers, Velcros closures and multiple colors in solids and patterns, besides an attractive range of handles to choose from.

Eyelets: (for cotton string) These are available in brass, aluminium or colored plastic.

Printing: They can print upto multiple colors per side, on specified standard PMS inks, with an average of 30% ink coverage on designs supplied by you. They do have their own in-house design department which can develop a range according to specifications.

Lamination The insides of bags are laminated at their in-house facilities. This process strengthens the bag and also makes it water resistant.

Located on the outskirts of Calcutta, the Aarbur factory is an interesting contrast of modernity in its quiet, semi-urban environs. Spread over an area of 9600 square yards, the factory is equipped with state-of-the-art lamination, cutting, printing and stitching machines, a veritable 'one-stop-shop' for the manufacture of jute bags.

Conscious of its commitment to the environment, every stage in the production process remains environment friendly. The work force is skilled and trained to ensure that each product with the Aarbur label meets the most exacting standards. In fact, Aarbur is the only Jute Shopping Bag Manufacturing company in India with in-house lamination and table drying facilities.
