Precise control and efficient heat come together in this portable, electric, oil-filled heater from Patton. A 7-finned metal construction, the heater uses a completely sealed system that generates heat quickly and never needs refilling. Controlled with push buttons and a digital display, the unit is silent, odorless, and user-friendly. Two power levels--900 and 1,500 watts--work in conjunction with the AccuTemp Plus digital thermostat to raise the room temperature to the exact degree you select. Once set, the heater will operate continuously to maintain the desired warmth. The thermostat also automatically recalls the most recent programming when you turn it on. When the heater is not in use, the display shows current room temperature. An especially nice feature, the timer lets you program the unit to turn on or off up to 16 hours into the future. The display indicates when the timer is in use. For safety, the heater includes automatic shutoff and overheat back up. It rests on a prop foot, rolls on two sturdy casters, and comes with a limited, five-year warranty. --Emily Bedard
