Porter-Cable Professional Edge router bits are constructed of 4140 Alloy Steel, a harder grade of steel than standard cast steel bit bodies. Each bit is annealed and heat treated to Rockwell hardness of 40-45-harder than is possible with cast steel bodies. The bits are precisly ground using computer controlled machining for precision tolerances and perfectly concentric shafts. The carbide tips are made from a specially blended micrograin carbide for superior results and longer lasting sharpness. Make key hole slots for hanging pictures, plaques, and other light projects with this router bit. The T-shaped cutting surface produces large entry hole and a narrow channel which allows mounting the workpiece to the wall securely with a nail or screw. Fits all routers with 1/4-inch collets. Includes one high-speed steel router bit.
