This Weather Guard all-purpose aluminum chest is for use on full-size long bed pickups. It is extra wide for lawn chairs and other bulky items. The back of the chest can be placed tight against the front of the pickup bed due to the zero clearance needed for opening the cover. It is also used in trucks with covers on the bed, since it mounts below the level of the side rails. It is made from heavy .063-inch diamond plate aluminum with the reinforcing channels formed onto the body and also welded to the cover. It features Weather Guard equipment's tough clear coat, polyester finish that maintains the shiny look of the diamond plate aluminum for years to come. A rotary style latch is located on the front panel of the box. The latch mechanism features a chrome plated rotating handle with keyed lock and is easy to operate from the driver's side of your truck. The dual gas spring cover supports are protected from damage by cover support housings.
