Black and Decker designed versatility into their plunge routers to let you do everything that a fixed base router will do, plus free-hand routing cut-outs, template cuts, inlays, and more with better control and precision. Powerful 1-3/4 HP motor generates up to 25,000 rpm's for a top-quality cut in a wide range of materials. A Sightline design provides an enlarged view of the router bit and work surface. As with all Black and Decker Sightline features, the Sightline design enhances visibility of the work surface up to 4 times over traditional fixed base routers, to aid in more control and accurate cuts and edges. a large, durable clear plastic window, contoured to the router base, protects against wood chips and other debris. A dust extraction chute also clears the work surface when attached to a shop vaccum. The push-button spindle lock makes changing router bits a snap. With the push of a conveniently located button, the router's shaft locks in place for your bit changes. An enlarged base makes it easier to keep the router flat and level to the work surface. The router comes with the 1/4-inch collet and collet wrench.
