This kit offers the perfect armload of cordless tools for the homeowner: drill, circular saw, cut saw, and flashlight, two 14.4-volt batteries, a charger, and a case to keep it all in. The drill is sturdy and comfortable, has a keyless chuck, and includes a 24-position clutch for as much torque as you need. The cut saw is amazingly light, so even the smallest hands will have no problem keeping control of it. It makes you want to take out a wall or prune a tree in the backyard just to exercise your power. The flashlight switches easily from a floodlight to a spot beam. The star of the show, however, is the Firestorm circular saw. Light, compact, and maneuverable, the tool shows off Black & Decker's patented Sightline window atop the blade guard. A clear window offers a straight, bird's-eye view of your cut path to start and keep you precisely on your cutting line. We liked this saw especially because it's the first of its kind to come out with an in-line blade design--meaning the saw's handle is right behind the blade. With the line of force directly behind the cutter it's easier to make a true, straight cut.
