After two years of testing and redesigning and testing again Porter-Cable is proud to introduce their new line of pneumatic tools. The PTD501's highly polished aluminum body combined with black accents will grab your attention, but the features packed into this 1/2-inch drill will surprise you. The high-torque motor turns the chuck up to 500 revolutions per minute (rpm) at 90 pounds per square inch (psi). The convenient keyless chuck allows you to change bits quickly, while it's 3-jaw steel chuck holds bits tight. The side handle can be positioned for ultimate comfort and control and the one-touch direction slide switch is located behind the trigger for easy access. The variable speed trigger this model offers is clearly the best of all features. Just like an electric drill, this model incorporates a trigger switch that increases rpms the tighter the trigger is pulled, a feature not usually found on pneumatic tools.
