Made of durable blue and gray plastic that wipes clean, the scale features a cover that lifts off at the press of a button and turns upside down to act as a 3-by-3-inch weighing tray. Raised edges keep powdery or fine-grained items contained. After the tray is positioned in place, simply push the on button. Add and weigh food as needed, resetting to zero by pushing the on button again after each ingredient if desired. Pushing the button marked ‘g’ at any time will switch the mode between grams and ounces. Features include automatic zero, automatic shut-off, and low battery indicator. The scale tray is safe for the top rack of a dishwasher, but should not be used in a microwave. For best results, clean the scale immediately after contact with fats and strongly colored spices and foods, and avoid contact with citrus and other acidic foods.
