Charmingly illustrated and smartly shaped, this Portmeirion A Christmas Story divided server is ideal for appetizers, crudités, or holiday candy. Part of a cozily decorated dinnerware line created by artist Susan Winget, the dish features scenes and verses from the Clement C. Moore poem "’Twas the Night Before Christmas." The warm and detailed imagery shows a jolly St. Nick in four different poses. The pictures are captioned with these verses: "He had a broad face and a little round belly/that shook when he laughed like a bowl full of jelly." A dark green holly leaf border and a red rim complete the festive effect. Crafted from fine translucent porcelain, the tray is substantial in weight and safe in the dishwasher, oven, and microwave. It measures 20 by 7 by 1-3/4 inches. Table settings and other serving dishes, with varying excerpts from the poem, are also available. --Emily Bedard
