This 2-1/2-quart saucepan combines an elegant design in gleaming stainless-steel with the excellent performance that Calphalon cookware is known for. This saucepan is perfect for tomato sauces as it has a wider base for first sautéing garlic and a high enough shape for boiling tomatoes. It can also boil onions, stock, and vinegar for a savory clafouti or cook up a creamy chicken stew for four people. The pan is crafted of beautiful 18/10 stainless steel inside and out with a brushed finish on the interior to help maintain the pan’s luster. A heavy-gauge aluminum core runs through the saucepan’s center to provide more precise heat control. The pan has a flared rim, making it easier to pour liquids without spilling, and a domed, tempered glass lid that fits tightly on the rim.
