With an 11-inch cleaning path and sturdy casters, the machine is easy to use and maneuver both forward and backward. Plus, the vacuum side is fast and powerful, so floors are quicker to clean and quicker to dry. The steam system includes two 1-gallon reservoirs, one for the cleaning solution and one for the dirty water (conveniently transparent, so you can see the grime get sucked up). Both reservoirs have simple release mechanisms and convenient carrying handles. Dirt Devil's motorized brush roller gently agitates carpet for deep cleaning, while a solution trigger on the angled handle lets you control distribution.
