With a thick stainless-steel blade beveled to a sharp edge, this sturdy wheel-type cutter rolls through pizza, fudge, lasagna, and other foods, dividing them into neat serving portions. The cutter has a finger guard and a stylish, black enamel-like handle. It's made of 18/8 stainless steel polished to a mirror finish and is dishwasher-safe. The wheel is 4 inches in diameter for quick work; overall, the cutter is 9 inches long. (KitchenAid also makes a smaller version of the cutter, with a 3-inch-diameter wheel. This larger wheel cuts a bit quicker, but the smaller wheel is easier for small-handed cooks and children.) KitchenAid says the first year of the cutter's lifetime warranty against defects is "hassle-free," with a replacement shipped at no cost and without question if a defect is detected. --Fred Brack
