This model eases the burden of heavy ironing with loads of features, beginning with a dimpled, polished stainless-steel soleplate for a smooth glide and a large transparent water tank for interruption-free work. The Luxe also has 1,440 watts of power and automatically shuts off in 30 seconds if left horizontal or tipped over (in 8 minutes if left vertical). A self-cleaning button flushes out mineral buildup in the water tank. Operational features on this iron include everything imaginable. There are variable steam settings, including vertical steam for removing wrinkles in curtains and hanging garments, misting spray, and steam burst. This iron also has a double row of steam holes and an antidrip system for when the thermostat is on low. Rowenta hasn't overlooked convenience, either. The center-mounted pivoting cord prevents tangles, the soft handle provides a slip-resistant grip, and antiskid bumpers ensure stability when the iron is upright.
