With this versatile set a cook can bake many treats. The 10-inch loaf pan bakes breads and cakes. The 11-inch tart pan bakes tarts and flans with classically fluted sides. The 10-inch springform pan bakes cheesecakes and tortes with dimpled bottoms, and because it has another bottom, it also bakes tube cakes and breads that can be served with their bottoms on top, displaying a classic braided shape. (Just unlock the spring and slip either bottom into the pan.) All pieces are made of tin-plated steel and are dishwasher-safe, although hand washing is recommended. --Fred Brack
