Part Blair Witch Project, part game show, and part cure for insomnia, MTV's Inside Fear pits a team of uniformly pretty teens and twentysomethings against the forces of darkness. Armed with video cameras and walkie-talkies, our intrepid ghostbusters visit a series of creepy locales to find out whether they are haunted. Each team member has to perform a dare, which seems to consist of standing alone in a dark room while trying to look scared, but there's also a certain amount of shrieking and vague references to paranormal phenomena.
Inside Fear includes interviews and footage not shown when the show was broadcast, but there are few surprises and no amount of wobbly camerawork can make up for the contestants' lack of personality. If you loved the show you'll like the video, but otherwise you'd be better off with a good horror movie. --Simon Leake
