Description
A Faustian fantasy classic! Mobster Eddie Kagel (Paul Muni) is murdered by a double-crossing associate, finding himself in Hell. When Satan (Claude Rains, Casablanca, The Invisible Man), sees Kagel resembles an adversary, Judge Frederick Parker, he puts Kagel's soul in The Judge's body. Satan wants Kagel to destroy The Judge's chances of running for Governor, but all Kagal wants to do now that he's back on Earth is seek revenge against his own murderer. The Judge's fiancee (Anne Baxter, All About Eve) soon discovers that Kagal has taken over The Judge's body and pursuades Kagal to find goodness in his own heart.
