Description |
In 2003, a number of NGOs, farmer organizations, companies, research institutions and government agencies took the initiative of forming an organization to provide services to the organic farming and organic stakeholders in India. In a planning workshop at National Academy for Agricultural Sciences (NAAS), Delhi, the stakeholders agreed on a joint vision and road map for building up the Competence Centre. It is ICCOA's mission to help build the competence of individuals and organizations of the South Asian region in organic agriculture and thereby contribute to building ecologically, economically and socially sustainable agriculture and organic business. ICCOA aims at becoming a Knowledge and Learning Center for all facets of organic agriculture. An excellent provider of information services, advice and market linkages to everyone involved in organic agriculture. |
